Mom confessions: I don't like being a stay-at-home mom

It's time for a Mom Confession — because, let's face it, we're real mothers and sometimes it doesn't work the way the parenting books say it should.

This Week's Confession:

I don't like being a stay-at-home mom.

I really don't like staying home and can't wait until I go back to work. I am stressed out some days with just one toddler. I stay home because my husband makes good money, so I went back to college. -- Mom2Just1

We all have secrets and opinions — so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation non-judgemental!

You are either a child or a sick adult. I hope when you grow up, you don't emotionally abuse your children or if you are really a mom, well shame on you! Serious though, that isn't proper you really should go tell your dr you are acting this way with your kids.

As far as back to work, well, I think when you tell your dr he is going to tell you to go to a psychiatrist and then you will be put on meds perhaps a mood stabilizer. Then you will probably apply for disability due to your mental illness.

I hope things work out for you,

I think your comments are a little harsh. She didn't say she hated her toddler. Staying home with a child(ren) all day is not the most glamorous and exciting thing. I love staying home with my 8-month-old and love when my 14-year-old comes home to talk about her day but I'll be the first to admit - I need to do something else and need some alone time daily; which I don't get until after 10:30pm.

And going back to school in my opinion is a MUST! You never know what will happen in the future and every woman - especially those with children - should always be educated and empowered. I've always made my own money until the past year and it's NOT a great feeling to have to explain why I spent $60 at the grocery store.

You are just a horrible monster and do not deserve to have kids!!!!!!!!!!!

Time with my daughter is the most rewarding time for me. I will be taking care of her till at home as long as my husband can afford it.
