one year old babys are happy with anything you get them. Don't bee to hard on yourself! A nice big plastic trunk or a soft rubber ball are great! Remember anything that is small enough to fit in a cardboard toilet paper roll is too small for a one year old. Book are always great. Reading to your baby, even if they are not paying attention helps them develop cognitive thinking skills and the ability to speak!
