Ah, the olden days. When such things as “sensitivity” and “feeling” were the domain of dirty COMMIES! Here’s a book designed to help you do crafts with your developmentally disabled child. But, uh, that’s not how they put it back then.

    Well, like you said, that's how they put it back then. They also called (and still call) people who can't speak aloud "dumb."

    The book you refer to was published in 1964.

    At the time of it's publishing, "mental retardation" was the part of the jargon associated with mainstream medicine.

    A book you may enjoy is 1984, by George Orwell.

    He describes how the over sensitive, history revisionists attempt to mass control thought proccess with "newspeak".

    For an updated version of this philosophy, just listen to any politician.
