When your baby is of the age to sit in a booster seat or high chair, the biggest thing your worried about is your kid eating off of a gross table. It's all about the germs.
Sure, you can put a kid-friendly plate down for them to nibble their soft eats. But despite your every effort, you'll turn around for two seconds and find your little one being quiet and content...because her mouth is slobbering all over the edge of the table.
So if there are already baby covers for shopping carts, why not something for restaurant high chairs?
Check it: the Neatnik Saucer. Only it's not just a cover. It has a built-in tray so that your little one doesn't even have to touch the table or high chair. The Neatnik Saucer sells for US$49. I love the concept and I think it'd come in handy. But I'm not keen on the cost. It's one of those "I'd love it as a shower gift but I wouldn't buy it for my kid" luxury items.
And there are alternatives. We used biodegradable table top placemats and some anti-bacterial wipes, which we always had on hand anyway.
What did/do you use to keep your kid a little more germ-free when you dine out? Or do you even care?
