Octuplet mom gives her free nanny help the boot
editor
After yesterday's
octuplet obsession update, I hadn't planned on writing anything
else about the topic. I mean, really, how much can one person take
of this crazy-making situation?
Apparently one person (read: Nadya Suleman) in particular can take
a lot. And
she
just fired the group of nurses who were helping to teach her
nannies to care for Suleman's newborns.
(
Only
four babies have been released from the hospital.)
Suleman's relationship with the organization, Angels in
Waiting, has been filled with tension since they first offered to
help her with the babies. She initially declined their help because
they would not allow her to film a reality show. Angels in Waiting
also filed a complaint against Suleman, questioning her ability to
raise 14 kids on her own.
But the nanny trainers got the boot because Suleman believes that
they've been spying on her while in her home...so they can file
a report with child welfare services. According to Suleman's
lawyer, nurses from Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center
will now train the nannies.
Gloria Allred, the attorney who represents Angels in Waiting, has
indicated that the organization will release details on the
situation this afternoon. I have to admit that I'm slightly
interested in what Allred has to say.

Seriously, when will this woman run away with the circus and STFU, already? Good lord, she is an idiot (and apparently a paranoid, depressed, pseudo-schizo one with 14 kids at that).

Does she think these nurses and nannies are not mandated reporters?
Something terrible is going to happen to one of these kids before this is all over.

Frankly, I have to say --"Good Job Nadya!"-- You go girl! Those are your babies; and let no one get in the way of you bonding and loving those kids! You can raise those kids up right --
Honestly, she had every right to kick Angels In Waiting out on their bazoo's; -- Obviously, Nadya feels as though her children need something different than what Angels In Waiting was providing -- so you have to give her credit for being brave enough and "Mother" enough to step up and say "NO" --- She has been under such "close eyeball" of everyone; its no wonder she has been so stressed... Its not the fact of taking care of 14 kids that is stressful for her; its those that stick their nose in where it don't belong! that causes such stress.
A Few Years from now when all of the newness is gone from the Octo-Mom Hype, I hope that each and everyone of you step up and apologize to Nadya for being soooo sure of yourself that she couldn't raise her babies on her own...
If anyone deserves to have the negative comments thrown at them; its the Grandmother -- Shes a complete nut-case and stirs up 99% of the chaos that family encounters ...

I hope not Angela, but I'm afraid you might be right. I'm so sick of her and her antics, but I can't help but follow the story. Poor kiddos.

I believe she is only doing what she think's is best in her own eye's. I really don't believe everyone should be turning on her yet. She might actually do a great job! The mother is yes more of a nut case than her right now. I wish her great luck! I believe she will do a great job if she set's her mind to it. You go girl.

Goodreasonwhy,
Really, she's raising them up right? Give examples. Explain exactly how she is doing this.
So far, she's shown herself to be nothing but a delusional, narcisistic, attention wh0ring glory hound for the media and this Radar online crap. If she hadn't gone begging for money, the kids she already had ALONG with the grandmother who GRACIOUSLY cared for her other 6 children would be out on the street.
This woman doesn't work or contribute to society in any way. She's not only NOT going to be able to raise those premature babies at all (let alone right), she's going to completely neglect her other children.
I don't blame her mother for being completely sick of her. I'm sure the only reason she didn't wash her hands of her before is because of her grandchildren.
She's not brave. She's not "mother enough." She's paranoid, and only looking out for herself, which is what she's been doing all along.
I just hope she keeps it up so that the other babies never even make it to her care.

29,
Sulleman has children with special needs. One of them is autistic.
I can't tell you how many kids I took care of who were removed from their home because they had harmed their infant or toddler siblings intentionally. Those children were not from families even a quarter of the size of this one. NO ONE can watch 14 children. In fact, our biggest units only had 14 children, and if we were running with 3 staff, we were understaffed, and 3 staff is above the legal limit. (The legal ration 1:7).
You have children. Just think how easily something like that could happen accidentally: New baby comes home, little brother or sister wants to hold new baby while you aren't in the room...new baby is on the floor and you NEVER get the complete story of what happened, because your 3 or 4 year old is too afraid to tell you. Stuff like that happens in 2 child homes all the time. So, multiply by 14 and calculate the risk.
I just don't want some kind of accident to happen between the kids and this psycho to blame her incompetence on the kids.

Most pre-schools that offer educational services for children between 3 and 5-years-old won't allow more than a dozen children in one class for the few hours the children attend. And, these pre-school classes all have at least one classroom aide to work with the head teacher. I am concerned about one mother thinking she can handle fourteen children, with eight infants among them, for 24 hours a day by herself. How can she give them the attention and care they deserve and should have? Unfortunately, it's these innocent children who will suffer the most in this chaotic type of environment.
I also agree that something terrible might happen. I also agree--poor kiddos!

Oops! Correction: I meant Sandy, not 29. (Sorry Sandy!) Also, I meant ratio 1:7, not ration.

I'm with Angela on this. Nadya Suleman is a total nut case and I don't understand how anyone could have agreed to allow those children to go home with her. What kind of home do they think she will raise them in? Just like Angela said, no one can watch 14 children at one time. Once again a child(ren) will suffer because of their parent's ignorance and selfishness.
