Poll: Do you return products that have been recalled?

The past year has been littered with safety recalls for children's toys and products. Between lead in paint covering Thomas the Tank Engine pieces and many other toys, faulty accessories on children's clothes, and cribs, parents are paying close attention to product safety. Especially with new purchases.

But how many parents actually make the effort to return recalled products to get them replaced? And how easy are toy manufacturers making it for products to be returned? One read of this story makes me want to see the numbers on how many Jardine cribs are reported unsafe and how many new cribs are issued (The parents have to remove the crib hardware and send it back to the company, all while waiting for a voucher to get a new crib. Where's the baby supposed to sleep in the meantime? Insane.)

Do you return recalled products? Does it depend on the type of recall and if you think it doesn't pose a risk to your kids? Or do you just dump the product in the garbage?

Nope if it is recalled it goes right into the trash.....I did the recall thing a while ago and am still waiting for the check. So if something I have is on recall I look to see what the reason for the recall and decide if it is worth keeping the item and repairing it myself or just trash it and get a new one maybe.
