Press play: Evangelist says God believes stay-at-home-dads are "bums"

File this under "simultaneously disturbing and hysterical."

Here's Evangelist John Hagee preaching to a congregation and saying stay-at-home dads are lazy and that their future is in heck for letting their wives support them. Oh, and God thinks any dad who is a Mr. Mom is a bum. Alrighty then.

But we hope stay-at-home-dads know that we think they rock.

OMG! This is hilarious. So if your wife is a doctor and you are a janitor she should drop out of the work force so that he is not a bum? This kind of thinking is why I don't attend church or believe in people's interpretation of the bible. That is asinine. Eat another cheeseburger John.

Just know that this guy does not speak for the majority of us Christians. Personally, I think HE is the bum.

I agree with Fae. This mans seems to be the King of Wackjobs. He must have taken over the Kingdom when His Heineyness King Fallwell croaked.

I'm a Christian by faith, not religion. I'm pretty sure Jesus' main message to everyone to was to treat one another with love. Apparently King John skipped that chapter.

fae: "Eat another cheeseburger John." ... I can't stop giggling!

1 Timothy 5:8 "If anhyone does not provide for his relative, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

Way to take it out of contect, "Rev" Hagee! Is raising your children, tending to your house and home and supporting your wife in her career not providing for your family? Someone needs to take that man's Bible away from him. He's clearly too dense to understand it!

Fae, exactly. John Hagee is a raving lunatic, just like Pat Robertson and every other schizoid the rants and spews venom at anyone who isn't living the nuclear family "ideal." I think John Hagee is a bum because he gets paid to say crap like this. Maybe he should go out and get a manual labor job so he'll know what it's like to really earn a living.

Good grief! He is insane. I agree, Fae...there are a LOT of whack jobs saying and doing all sorts of crazy things in the name of religion. I just have to laugh at them...

it's not just one whack-job, JaneDoe, it's the one whack-job and the millions of followers that tune in to hear his diatribe every week. THAT is what i find so repulsive about his take on christianity.
