September 8, 1996 - November 8, 2005

NO RUDE COMMENTS THIS IS A VERY EMOTIONAL POST FOR ME!!!!

In memory of Mimi Murray Ferguson (Bubba) September 8, 1996 - November 8, 2005

You were my Bubba, my world, and the dog I got when I asked for one at least a million times. You were named after your vet! If I didn’t know the vets name then you would have been named Snow White, Cinderella, or Dopey! I was four at the time okay? The baby out 8 little puppies  and I still choose you! Even though you were a girl we did give you a lot of blue things. Your kneel, food dish, bed, leash, and most of your toys. In the summer time you and I would walk around the block 20 times or more to were you had it memorized! You never liked to eat your food in your room so you got a mouth full and came into the living room to eat! You didn’t care for other dogs. You loved to sleep on your puppy blanket under the table or under the piano bench. You treated the gin pigs like your  they were your puppies! You would always lay by me when I watched TV or you would be on your back under dads feet licking them! When you were just a little puppy and you say your reflection for the first time you attacked like you were going to kill it.  You and I spent a lot of time together that we got to know each other really well! I remember before you died we were in the back yard sitting in the shade by the fence and I was listen to a song while you were on your back on the shady grass and I was rubbing your tummy and then I told you “Bubba you and I are best friends and we will have lots of memories together!”  Which we do! Before you died you could just tell that you were going to leave the earth really soon cause you didn’t eat, you couldn’t walk, and you just couldn’t move with out help.  Mom and dad were in San Fran. and we had grandparents at our house.  Before us kids got home from school grandma pulled you and your bed out of the kneel and just sat you beside your kneel. You looked so peaceful there but it looked like you were still breathing. I remember seeing a little piece of your beard stuck to the top of your eye and when I moved it you still had your eyes opened. I will never forget when I say your body and ever single thing that happen in your life just played in my head really fast.  I carried you to the place were you rest in peace and still are. Even though we have Lexi and Willie you will always be the first doggy I had! I will never forget you Mimi!

She was born September 8, 1996 and died November 8, 2005. She was 9 years old and two months. Died five months after we found out she had kidney failure.

Very, very touching post Katie. I'm a grown man that others have jokingly called me "Lumberjack" recently because I have a beard and a surly disposition.

Your Heart wrenching story brought tears to this grown man's Eyes.

I hear you, and understand your loss. Mimi was lucky enough to have you as a pet human. You really loved her, and yes, I know what you mean when you said she was your "Best Friend".

Katie, here's a toast to you, and all of the other lucky pets that have someone as good as you to love them.

    Cheers.

On another note, you asked who my family had insurance with. At the time of the fire, they had NO insurance. This was the big factor. To "save a little money", they cancelled it. They could do this because the home was paid off. What no one knew though, was they had just taken a loan out on the home to spend on something else. So, then, no insurance, and had a mortgage payment again and had to rebuild after the fire...

But it's all good now, and I now have my home and it is wonderful, and yes, it is insured, and with a very reputable company.

Also my parents home is also insured again.

    Thank you for asking.

Thank you for visiting my post.

Enjoy your too cute other dogs to...

    Blessings and Love,

    The D Man.

Aw, this is sad, Katie, anmd also sweet.

I also had lost some precious lives. But I am thankful for the memories we had together. I'm sure that your dog is in a happy place now.

Have a great rest of your day.

Sweet heart, some of my best friends have been my pets. They cared when no one else did. They listened and understood when there was no one there but them and me. They are rays of light and love in our lives. I feel for you so much right now. Hold Lexi and Willie close...they will help you. :0)

    I loved your story, Katie.

Big Bad Pete Patterson died 8/4/09. He was a street hockey defenseman, in his youth: took many a plastic ball to his snout.. A 14# 14 year old dappled daschund. He loved ice cream and toenails (eek). In the winter, we had to carry him outside: he hated the snow on his belly. His breath was horrific and one could not be in the same room with him for two hours after he ate. He could get a steak off the table with ease. Petie was 14 years of the Best Love Ever!

I am sorry for your loss! I had my dog for almost 17 years! I know how you must feel!

Although I have another dog now, she will never replace my first dog.

Once again I am sorry and thanks for sharing your story
