Single dad and loving it!

Last summer I got custody of my daughter due to circumstance I dont care to discuss right now. Anyway, she is 8 years old and the light of my life. Last fall my wife and I seperated, not her mom. Since our move, we have made great friends that we never would have met. She has met a friend in our apartment building that is 3 days older then her. They are so cute together. I really enjoy doing the day to day things with her. I know that I make mistakes and sometimes it is not eay being a guy, raising a daughter, like when you go to the pool and have to go to seperate locker rooms. Or when I stand by the womans bathroom at a restaruant cause I cant go in with her, but at the end of the day, when I turn out her light and hear her snoring, I have a sense of peace. That is the best feeling in the world and I will do anything to make sure she is safe.

    Jeff,

You are one in a million...you "get it" when it comes to children. It's especially hard on us single parents because we are trying to juggle so many things. However, you realize that they need our time, attention and love more than anything else in the world.

Best of luck to you and your little girlie.

THAT IS WONDERING IT IS NOT EVERYDAY THAT YOU A MAN TALK ABOUT RAISING HIS DAUGHTER ON HIS OWN, CONTINUE GIVING HER YOUR LOVE YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE AND EVERYTHING WILL FALL IN PLACE. WAIT TIL SHE START DATING(LAUGH) BUT SERIOUSLY KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO PEACE.
