UPSET RE: The System

I'm a single mom and went to the store for a soda while my children were sleeping. I had a few beers before I left the house and trust me I've already heard it all... But here's the short story. I got pulled over for and because of it was taken to a detox place (although I was below the limit for a dui). The police would not let me use the phone to call and have my friend go to my house and then neither would the people at the detox facility although they thought it obligatory to call social services, threaten to bust down my door if I didn't give them my keys and then further more to lie to my children and tell them that I was in the hospital!!!! All this instead of letting me simply use the phone and have my friend be allowed to go to my place to take care of my kids. Again I know it was wrong to leave them alone in the first place but unlike alot of people I don't live in fear constantly because I have had to make sacrifices to make it on my own alone with my children just to save a little bit of sanity in my life. I've taken walks by myself as well and all of which DID NOT INVOLVE ALCOHOL but because I had gotten pulled over apparently now I'm not only a liar, a bad mother and an alcoholic according to them. I'm trying to make sense of how kids in this country can be ripped from their parents and then thrown into a social system so easily when it seems as if authorities prejudge and condemn people so easily and in fact some people purposely use the system simply to screw with peoples lives like making false reports to get some one in trouble that they don't like. There are people out there that do that some of them in fact that work for the system itself but there are laws protecting them against defimation...
