User post: When mommy poses nude: Sharon Stone

Sharon Stone shows off her ninny's on the cover of French magazine Paris Match this month.

At 51, she still looks great; I only wonder why she feels compelled to show the world her naked body? As the adoptive mother of three boys, should she not show more restraint in her choice of business ventures? Surely she doesn't want her boys to see this?

Or maybe she does?

maybe she feel's quite proud of how she look's at this age and want's to show it off cause she's proud. There's alot of woman out there showing much more than that.

I think it all depends on what you convey to children about nudity.

Not everyone sees nudity as an avenue to sex.

Even though there are lots of women out there "showing much more than that", doesn't make it right. It's wrong not to have the best interests of your children. Seems to me that Sharon Stone, like many other celebrities, need to have their egos stroked by putting themselves on display. Look at Madonna, Brittney Spears, Courtney Love, Pamela Anderson... and so many others.

Just because one has children doesn't mean they have to be prim and proper all the time. If she is comfortable with her body and wants to pose nude good for her. It doesn't mean she can't set appropriate boundaries with her children. And yes, it may be awkward when they get older and inevitably run across a photo or film. But what child hasn't discovered something uncomfortable about their parents at one point or another? Perhaps it will be an opportunity for a discussion of healthy self image or freedom to make your own choices.

Ahleah, MY children have never discovered something uncomfortable about their parents. All our decisions are made with them in mind.

Nothing wrong with how she looks, but it seems like a desperate bid for attention to me.

I just don't think that young boys (and later young men) need to see their mother naked. What she did before she was a mom is one thing, but to continue the behavior is kind of nasty.

She is the hottest 51 yr old I've seen. The fact that this country has such a shameful outlook on the human body is more damaging to her children then her being open and proud. Good for her!
