Women held captive by her family for having a child out of wedlock

This was just an incredible story. A 47 year-old woman named Maria Monaco was found locked in a room in a house near Naples, Italy. Her family had kept her there since 1990. HER FAMILY. Mom, brother and sister. Her crime was getting pregnant out of wedlock. Police found her after getting an anonymous tip. Her son is 17 now, and lives in a nearby town. He reportedly didn't know anything about this. Police are looking for the father, but they aren't releasing his name (the mother's name, they have no trouble telling everyone.) Read more here.
