Your 3 month old can read...

I saw an infomercial last week for a product called "Your Baby Can Read", which advertises that it can begin teaching a baby to read as early as 3 months old. It had all of these customer testomonials, and a super tv offer to try it for 30 days for only $14.95. But after the 30 days, the cost becomes $199.95, which in my opinion is well worth it if it can actually teach my 18 month old to read. If you visit the link I have above you can view the testomonials and see that they seem real, but who knows if these people were paid and the footage of the children reading was doctored? Before I shell out $215.00, is there anyone out there who's used this product and had success? Thanks!

i think that is a rip off. if you want your child to read so soon start teaching sounds with the ABC's. read read read books. there is alot you can do with that kind of money. you could get a LEEP FROG thing that will grow with your child.

Now I've read your post, I think that is a rip off. Your 18 month old will learn to read when she learns to read. By the way you sound kind of like someone I know. Is your babies name Ivry?

    Hi Superlativity....

As far as your post about having your infant read early, don't press yourself or spend that much money. Just read to her everyday, talk to her and she will read. Don't stress over it now.

Now, you asked me what was my interest in SATC? Well, I probably related to it because I was about the age of the women in the show, and rarely do I see women my age portrayed on TV; not all of them slept around with alot of guys; sure it was about sex, yet and still, it was about these four women navigating single life in Manhattan. At the time when I was a "devotee" if you will, I was early 30's, with 2 young children, and Sunday night from 9-9:30pm, that was my "retreat" from my reality - - I could fantasize about the fashion, living in NY, and operating on my schedule, not the baby or my 4 year old at the time.

I could also relate to how the men all had "code names" - - that was something my girlfriends and I did alot when we were single.

Hope that helps, if not , of course, hit me up again!

    lol

    Have a great Saturday -

    MM

I have one more hour before the food is ready....I can't wait for the dressing and gravy and greens with no meat! (wink)

I'm also a huge fan of cranberry sauce...

No, I'm not a vegan...My parents are vegetarian, and considering they are our only option this year, we are having a vegetarian Thanksgiving. I actually don't mind, though I admit, I do miss the Turkey.

I wish I could say I am vegetarian, though I just eat healthy, no red meat, no chicken.

The brownies sound delicious! I absolutely LOVE chocolate.
