You work so hard (and are so cute, too!)
You take the kids on days I work
You make the dinner - an extra perk
You mow the lawn and clean the clothes
You fix the pipes and unkink the hose
You throw the kids up in the air
You even lug them up the stairs
On evenings that you watch tv
Your sci-fi shows are cool with me
You're not exactly a soccer dad
Your a techie nerd - and yes, we're glad
For who else but you would fix our computers
(Then turn around and squeeze my hooters?)
I know we've had our ups and downs
But you have always been around
To listen to me rant and rave....
To lend an anchor to my waves....
You're calm and steady, loyal and true
Through good and bad you've seen me through
And so I'll go the extra mile
To do the things that make you smile
Like getting your dry cleaning here on time
Giving my hair that extra shine
Stocking the fridge with your favoirite cookies
(And yup - at night - I'll throw in some nookie)
Ending Note That Doesn't Rhyme So Just Get Over It: Rex, it's been a long week - and it's only Wednesday, but you've really stepped up to the plate since my new job started. Thank you. I love you. Now get back to work and make some money in case I lose my job. One of us has to be the steady eddy, right?
