Love + Sex

If you are anything like me, you have reached the point in your life when seeking potential partners, whether through friends, work or online dating, has become a bit of a chore.  Why not just leave it up to fate, the gods, or whatever karmic energy you wish to subscribe to? Your mother has long ago given up introducing you to the neighbor's son next door, and frankly, you're just too busy to care anymore.

I reached that point, last summer, when I was gifted by a favorite aunt, with a plane ticket to Paris.  What would I do with myself for two weeks, at large in the City of Romance? Was I going to be alone (at yet another bar or cafe) talking to the French version of the 'Lounge Lizards' who frequent these watering holes worldwide? Was I leaving my romantic life up to fate, or a chance meeting?
Well, of course, the standard post on that familiar community website, was an option, but how was I going to attract the sort of man, that every girl imagines, is Perfect? For me, all the basic dream-boat items would be present but I also look for intelligent conversation, the elusive element of sexual chemistry a healthy dose of self-confidence, and a French accent, wouldn't hurt either!
 I decided, that becoming a "Women of Letters" would bring my audience of suitors, to a new level.  What exactly, is a "Women of Letters"? This is a term, that refers to women who pursue scholarly interests, such as history, the arts, or the science, who are authors, and often create daily diaries of their lives, loves and pursuits.  They use the art of letter writing to explore, comment, and reach out to their audience.  The essence of these women who are known for their witty letters, fictional accounts or alluring stories, is that their voices have been heard, in a quiet way, throughout history. More exploration on this topic will not be found here, but suffice to say, that the very idea of improving the 'dating blog' had me interested again, and trying it out in the City of Romance, would be the perfect venue!  I would become, a witty, sensational, alluring, sexy, and marvelous, purveyor of Old Fashioned Paris Romance!

My girlfriends, who often travel alone, unattached, and desperate, were in awe. "How were you able to bring about the impossible, they asked?"  Dating in a foreign country, with eligible, attractive and yes, even finding the  "keepers?" My answer, and tips, will be listed in my next post, but for now, lets just say, that discovering your inner "Women of Letters" is a great way to attract the man of your dreams!
