Apparently, sex really does sell
editor
Can you guess what in god's name they're hawking in this
advertisement?
Um, the answer is toilet paper. Oh, and "pleasure."
Really. Mind you, it's not just any TP. It's
Renova, the Rolls
Royce of ass wipes, which is finely crafted: "Tiny drops of
rich cream envelop the fibres of this tissue paper, enriching its
structure with moisturising compounds." They also make it in
colors like black and green, for all you connoisseurs out
there.
Wow. Is this inappropriate or just plain awesome?

If you go to Europe, there are ads with nude models at bus stops, on the sides of busses, on billboards, and in the subways. Back in the 80s, there was a tv stand on a subway platfrom in Paris where the tv show was a porn flick that showed two people going at it on a kitchen chair.
The fact of the matter is that we Americans are too ridiculously prudish when it comes to nudity. If we all ran around naked all the time, people would stop caring and not even notice in a few years. We all get hot and bothered over a boob, a butt cheek, or the pubic area because they are hidden away. If you saw it in public everyday, it wouldn't matter anymore.
And those of you who think kids run out and have sex because they see sexy ads or tv shows. . .maybe you ought to try censuring the things your kids read or the video games they play or the tv shows they watch. If you don't want your kid to get knocked up, teach them how to prevent pregnancy and teach them to respect themselves enough to avoid it. Don't expect society to instill morals in your kids. That is your job.
And don't talk about disease being more prevalent and deadly today because HIV has been traced back to the late 1800s and they still had syphilis, gonarrhea, clamydia, and herpes back then too. In fact, some scientists suggest that most mysterious wasting diseases (where people just grew weaker, more prone to infectinos and viruses and just wasted away) during the early 20th century were actually AIDS infections that went undiagnosed because we didn't have the technology to diagnose it.
So nothing has really changed all that much-- except the fact that parents have stopped being parents.

And here I thought it was an ad for Fruit of a Loom-what was I thinking?
But yeah, sex is not in everyday of every walking menu. There is too much of it in ads. Our children don't need this!!!
