  well, i'd recommend something smaller than a rabbit to start with personally. the rabbit is an investment, it's pricy, and not everyone likes vibrators, sometimes they feel it's too intense, so it could be a lot of money to throw away.

  i say visit your local sex shop and start smaller. try an external vib first. they have small finger vibs or a "pocket rocket", which are used outside just to stimulate.

  if you enjoy that, then consider stepping up to one that you can feel both outter stimulate as well as pentration.

  and when you have another partner, you can considering working both or one into your sex life with them.

  I just got my first vibrator and for me it was just plain weird. It had different setting but it didnt have that all favored random setting...maybe thats what I need to get next time...the random setting is supposed to make you keep on guessing (or waiting in anticipation^^)

  My boyfriend bought me the "butterfly kiss" for valentines day. It's pretty good for times when he's out of town, etc, but nothing compares to the real thing!

  I have three, and have had more. I have a small pink glittery one, that is shaped like an average sized penis.   angela - depends on what you like. people's bits have their own personalities so what works for one person might not work for you. i feel pretty lucky that the first one i ever got was cheap and fantastic. when that one broke i got a new one which did not do the job, and had to resort to the traditional way of doing it [ahem]. this was really only frustrating because i expected the same result as the one that died. fail.

  personally, i can't stand the thought of weak vibrators - lame! but i have one that i don't like that makes my boy purr like a kitten.

  anyway read some toy reviews and find one that sounds like it does what you want (i wish i had taken that advice in the incident i mentioned above). it is reasonable to think you can get a 'good one' for cheap, but make sure it is a safe material.
