Do women who talk up their relationships have something to prove?

We've called out Will and Jada Pinkett Smith for sharing a little too much info about their sex lives before. Well, Jada just doesn't know when to quit! A few weeks ago, the actress said in order to keep her sex life exciting, that she enjoys sneaking off to her friend's bedroom or bathroom during a party with her man for a quick love-making session. But, according to her, that's the only place the Fresh Prince likes to get fresh.

"When you have three kids, you've got to take your opportunities when they come," says Pinkett Smith. "In a limo, on the way to the Academy Awards this year, Will started looking at me in this way that drives me wild. We started kissing passionately, and the next thing I knew, well, let's just say we missed the red carpet and I ended up with almost no makeup on."

We have had a few friends like this in our day--women who over share or talk up their dalliances as the next great love affair. Most of them are now either miserable or single. If you're really, truly happy with your man and your sex life, must you talk about it all the time with anyone who will listen just to prove it? Or are you overcompensating for something? [NY Post]

I think it's great that she's open about her sex life with her husband!

Keeping your sex life going is spicing up the relationship! I don't see anything wrong with that!

I used to be one of those people you refer to as 'women who over share or talk up their dalliances as the next great love affair' and no I didn't do it to overcompensate anything, I did it because I was lovin it and wanted to say it out loud to anyone who would listen. The same way people with lots of money like to talk about their cars, vacations, etc- simply because they CAN. O and by the way I am neither single nor miserable like you assumed I was.

I'm glad the Smith's are making their relationship work--unlike so many others in Hollywood, or anywhere, for that matter. But I am the type of person who feels that the intimacy between my husband and I is a sacred thing that doesn't need to be broadcasted. I personally prefer to keep those things between him and me.

In my twenties I was a very private person, it drove my friends and coworkers crazy, not knowing who this person is. After a little soul searching and visits to the shrink, I realized alot about myself. Now I can't shutup about every little detail of my life, needless to say almost all of those people aren't even around now. At least now I can divulge information about me on my terms not theirs.

Sorry, I don't see anything wrong with what Jada said. How is this "talking up" her relationship? People talk about this kind of stuff ALL the time. If it were a guy doing this, people would probably be ok with it, but because she's a woman, she's a poseur with something to prove? Uh no. Just no.
