Do you have "breakovers"?

US Weekly

US Weekly

When you have a rough breakup, your behavior can fall one of two ways: You can cry your eyes out to a rom-com while scarfing down a pint of Ben & Jerry's, or you can get your butt to the gym, dye your hair and try to improve your life. While at first you may maintain your same outlook, once you start the healing process it is important to do little things that make you feel good.

Supposedly Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days following her breakup with football star Tony Romo. While we kind of doubt that's true or even possible and wouldn't advice crash dieting or exercising, releasing endorphins through regular workouts can be a great way to make yourself feel and look like a million bucks. I know, because I've been there.

Another quick and easy pick-me-up is getting your hair cut or dyed. Besides making over your look, it will also guarantee loads of compliments coming your way.

Have you ever had a "breakover," and if so, what did you do to change up your look and lifestyle?

yes i had a breakover, I decided to go on a shopping spree and spoil myself, bought the tiniest skirts and sexiest dresses, anything to make the guys drool over me. I needed to be in control again, and there is nothing better than to feel super sexy especially afta a breakup.

YES, I LOST 12 POUNDS , GOT A HAIR CUT, AND A MONTH LATER THE FIRST TIME I SEEN MY EX FROM THE BREAK UP HE JUST STARTED TO APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT HE HAD DONE.

I was there- I hit the gym and lost a ton of weight and toned up all over, dyed my hair and got a great hair cut. I also bought a special cream for my face and my face cleared up. It feels great to look like a million bucks-- I guess the key is: why wait for a "breakover"?

The best way to get your pay back is to act normal. Do the same things, and wear the same clothes that you've been wearing. That's the real slap in the face.

I had a breakover and am still in the process! When my relationship started to fall apart about six months ago I joined Weight Watchers! Then when I caught him in bed with someone else in April the weight just fell off! I now am taking better care of myself and doing things for me! I am 45 pounds thinner and want to lose another 100 over the next year! I don't see too much of my ex so when I do run into him he notices the difference! All I can say is "Thank You Heartache!!" I have not felt this good for three years, which ironically is right when we began dating!

i had two in the past 12 months the first i totally rocked it! got my hair cut new style and was hanging out with a better crowed ... cuz he got all the immature drama queen friends in the split - who needed them)

the second was not as long of a relationship but he is a really shallow guy and he hates that about him self so this time i have gotten more involved in charity and my community. im meeting all kinda of wonderful people and doing some really cool fun stuff i am sure he will miss what he had deep inside!

    GIRLS RULE !!!!!! :) LOL

definitley, cut my hair (stunningly short). Moved to the beach. Looked in the full length mirror. Decided to love myself for who I am, and have never looked back.

I did both. First cried and stuck my spoon deep in ice cream. Then once that wore off I just changed my looks, bought sexier clothers.
