does he like me or just friends??

well my mom says that my one guy friend likes me. I tell her he doesn't. Well I tell my mom everything and today he was just like picking on me saying "I remember when you used to be taller than me" I just laughed because its true, he used to be really short and now he is like a few inches taller than me. Then later today me tapped me on the shoulder and went on my other side to trick me, then he turned and walked away. then later on face book my computer was acting up so I had to shut it off and turn it back on and when i got back on i had an offline message from him saying hey and he never talks to me on the computer... actually he hasn't really talked to me this school year until today and a few times last week... normally we are constantly just like hanging out and picking on each other... we have been friends since like 4th grade and now we are highschoolers Don't know what to think... I don't think he likes me and i don't know if I want him to... i don't want a friendship ruined... but my mom is so persistent saying that he does.... what do you think?

and now i have a post on face book that said I am 50% happy and 50% sad and he keeps saying im not and i asked why and he said "cuz" that was his answer a lot...
