Have You Ever Dated a Guy with a Temper?
partner
Did you guys watch
The Bachelorette last night? Canadian cutie Jillian
gets to choose between thirty guys, and most of them are smart,
funny and smokin'. But there's one guy who I definitely
would
not want to meet in a dark alley....
David, a 27-year-old from Ohio, freaks me out. He seemed sweet
and shy at the beginning, but now he has crazy eyes, chugs whiskey
and talks about beating up one of the other guys. He even said,
"I would kill him," and then added, "There's no
reason we shouldn't tie him to a tree and beat the *%@* out of
him." What???? That is insane!!! Take it down a notch,
Dave!

Dear readers, you ever dated a guy with a temper? Were
you ever freaked out by it? Have you ever seen your man get into a
fight? Would you prefer your guy to have some spicy edge to him, or
do you like a more mellow man? (And a side question for
Bachelorette fans: Who are your favorite
guys so far? I have a little crush on
Ed and
Kipton's abs...)
P.S.
What if you really don't like your friend's
boyfriend?

i have been in a physically abusive relationship so yes, i have seen it first hand. From that point on, I have been afraid of guys that openly show their anger towards me because I automatically think that abuse if about to happen. However, I am not attracted to guys that are timid. I think there has to be a difference in how they control their anger, if they are beating up on other people than I would think that it is just a matter of time before it is me. If they channel that anger into something else than that is the real man.

I don't mind a guy who fights to protect his girlfriend/wife. My boyfriend has done that for me. He allows me to deal with something until it gets out of hand and then its an all out brawl haha. Otherwise he is a very mild mellow person. I love that he protects me.....any guy who doesn't is weak.

i'm married to a man that has had is fair share of run ins with the law and have seen his vilent side. he is a very strong physical type that is very good to me but he can kick butt to. we have been toghter since 1988 and i would not trade him for anything. might add that since he's gotten older has slowed down considerably.

I have a good friend who married a guy with a temper. Back when they were dating we all asked her if she was aware he had a temper problem. She said yea and gave some lame excuse for him and said “but he would never hurt me”. Just a few years into the marriage she has to get her and now their kids out of the situation (and I don’t think I need to explain why). Young women pat attention to warning signs of all types, if he has some dysfunctional behavior while your dating then you had better believe it will be worse later and you will fall victim to it.

Well my current guy has more anger than any of the other guys I have ever dated. He has never hit me but has gotten into fights with other guys when they have attacked his family. I never knew he was like that when I first met him. I thought wow this guy is a push over but as time went by I realized he was a tough cookie... He also works out alot and boxes.. I love that about him but I hated it at the same time... Ugh, however if I had to choose I would rather have a tough gentle guy instead of some whinning whimp that would let me get beat up!

I attract jealous psychos!!! One was even a state police officer who i was married to. he would do crazy things to me, push me around, put me in choke holds, stalk me all the time. He would get so mad he would pour beer on me if he thought i was having too much fun. Once I called the police on him and one of his cop buddies showed up and ended up giving me the lecture!!!! I was disgusted! These kind of men should not get away with that kind of behavior!

I wouldn't advise anyone to date a guy with a bad temper, I dated one and turned around and married him. And the temper never calmed down or changed. I'm a mellow kind of girl and he was insecure, jealous and had a temper If I said or did the wrong thing they always take stuff out of context. Personally I say dont deal with bad tempers, insecurity, jealous types at all cuz in the end you'll regret it. I'd prefere a mellow type and kind hearted also has to respectable to me and women in general.

I have dated guys with tempers. There is a thin line between just fuming and then letting it go, and mulling over it and acting like you are going to get violent. Its definitely a turn off.
When I watched the first episode I really liked David. But yeah his temper completely turns me off though and well the magic is gone. He is almost as big of a turn off as the foot fetish guy. Maybe they are even.

My man has never hit any person but in anger he has hit the wall and left dents several times. Really the only thing he has ever done to me out of anger was to b---- at me about something he felt I wasnt do right.
