Holding on to the big V

Its late and I am thinking about relationships again. This is never good for my sleep but decent for my blog. We live in a society where the order and control of the past is being slowly replaced by a more emotive, celebrant society (both have distinct merits and disadvantages but that's not the point) and sex is not the taboo it once was in most circles. Still, I know many are like me and haven't cashed in the ole V-card yet and I am curious to know the reasons, especially from other guys. For me, its that I think I have my father's luck and I refuse to make his choices. Here's the story, my mother was told by her docs she would never be able to carry a child until it was healthy and my dad had already fathered two kids and had a vasectomy. Top that off with the fact they used a condom and you get a kid who shouldn't exist and a poster story for an abstinence only sex ed program lol (I am personally opposed to those but that is for another blog). Anyway, he left shortly after I was born. I refuse to do that to any kid I might end up with. Until I am positive I could give any resulting children the kind of father I wanted but did not get, I CANNOT! cash in my V-card. So now, does anyone else care to share their reason?
