Love + Sex

Im tired of people asking me when I am going to get married!

It really DEPRESSES me and sometimes PI$$E$ me off when i get asked on a freaking day to day basis "so when are you getting married?" my response? "um, never".

Hello, I am 20 years old. So what if I have been with my boyfriend since we were both acne-ridden hormonal teenagers.

It use to really make me feel like crap that we werent engaged... but im still so young and so is he. Now I know that its fine, I am not in any rush to get married. And it really doesnt matter who the hell wants us to get married its our decision.

People tell me we need to get married before we live together also, and that I am living in sin. Um, ok... we are going to have sex regardless if we are living together or not, so yeah I am living in sin anyways.

It just chaps my ass that people dont think before they open their mouths. Way to make me feel like I am getting old and going to be some freaking non-virgin nun or something, @ssholes.

glad I got that off my chest.

Good for you! You are sooo right on. 20 is MUCH too young to get married and if you are fine with your current "living in sin" situation that is YOUR business and nobody else's. My hubby's two sons who are in their early 20's have been with their gf's for going on six years now and I hope they ALL wait until they are at least 30 to get married. Marriage is nothing to rush into and at 20 something years of age, why in the world would you want that kind of pressure and stress of trying to spend the rest of your life together?

Don't get DEPRESSED over it, seriously, people are idiots, I was supposed to have babies at 18?? Really, seriously, first off, enjoy life, travel, see the world, marriage and kids for when you are 30. Love yourself and your life, don't let idiots put gloom over you. Since you have already had sex, no reason to live together before, but I do recommend living together before marriage because then you will see the hidden world of your s/o and see if you can stand him before taking that plunge. Who cares what people think, they are the worst hypocrites.
