Is Honesty the Best Policy?

Happy belated Valentine's Day.

Mine wasn't so great. Basically, without going into detail, my brother is going through a REALLY tough time, marriage-wise, so I ended up hanging out with him.

It was great to spend time with him, but so many times, I found myself really not knowing AT ALL what to say to him. Several times he asked me what I thought he should do, and I honestly didn't know. This wasn't a clear cut situation, but sometimes, in other situations where friends ask me advice about their relationships, I feel like I DO know I do know if I don't like a guy, or if I feel she's too obsessed with him, or if I feel like they're not a good match.

So, in those cases, where I have strong opinions, I generally keep quiet, or maybe allude to things but never say them out right.

What about you when it comes to advice in relationships, do you tell all or do you keep quiet?
