Most of us dream about the idea of a
soul mate. To be able to complete each other , unite together
as one, and be absolutely unable to exist without our other
half.
But have you ever pulled up an internet search for the words “soul mate?” The term brings up about 12.5 million search results, and with it, endless definitions and statistics.
Here’s a statistic: 98% of people feel it’s important to marry their soul mate. I do think this is the case, but then why are divorce rates as high as 51%? Maybe several millions of us just haven’t found our soul mate yet. Or perhaps for a host of other reasons we convinced ourselves in to love and marriage thinking this is where the real thing resides.
Quite honestly, I think the solution lies in the problem. And part of the problem is that we don’t understand the true definition of soul mate, typically defined in dictionaries as ‘one of two persons compatible with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity.’ (from Answers .com)
In the reality we don't perceive, the spiritual reality , we are actually one large soul, divided into a male part and a female part (the true Adam and Eve !). We only see ourselves as separate. This separation is the cause of the unrest and crisis that we see around us.
By feeling the connection among and within humanity, becoming one with the laws of nature, we can experience that special feeling of the soul mate.
What do you think, is there really such
thing as a soul mate?
