1. You will find love when you least expect it.
2. You'll find love when you stop looking for it.
3. Alone time is "Me" time.
4. Be patient and the right one will come.
5. God will send you the right the person.
I know I do because I have said them to myself and to others. I get tired of hearing them sometimes, but that doesn't mean that they aren't true. I know when you are in pain it is easy to become bitter and frustrated. It happens to the best of us. We are all human, but there is nothing cliche about the love of God and His goodness. When I first started to write this blog I was full of anger about my circumstances, but then I read my devotion. It talked about surrendering whatever your situation isproblem may be or to God. Sometimes we want to hold on to stuff and when we do this our emotions can overtake us, but when we let it go we can there can be peace.
That's what I did this morning. I surrendered it all to God. My circumstances have not changed, but my attitude has. I am at peace and now I rule my emotions instead of my emotions ruling me. I don't know what my future looks like, but my present is so much clearer and that sits well with me.

Report AbuseHave you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like '' Maybe we should be just friends '' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”
Neil Gaiman
Not necessarily my love philosophy, but it does make a point. A load of crap is what it is (all the love cliches)

Report AbuseYea I just told my friend that one yesterday. He was feeling down cuz he has MD and he thinks that is why he is having a hard time finding someone to date. And that is not true and if it is then people are so shallow and dumb.

Report AbuseAll I can say is amen. Whoever made up these cliches were either trying to console someone or themselves and it sounded good at the time. I don't believe in any of them. Just recently did the "You'll find someone as soon as you stop looking" and realized all that gets you is a bunch of female friends...or nothing.
And to those that believe that there's someone for everyone: ummmm, question? Why do people seem to think that this person is in the same country as them, in the age range they want, and speaks the same language as they do? Also, what if this person walked by you on the street and they didn't see you or you didn't see them? What if they died before you met them? It's funny how people get an image of what they want in their head and expect that there's someone like that just sitting around waiting to meet them or is just going to stumble into their lives like a fairy tale or movie...oh wait, they're the same thing lol

Report AbuseMorning Madam
How are you doing today?
I posted something on one of your blogs last night. Today I can't find it. Did you remove it? Did someone offend you? Perhaps me? Hang in there , things will get better.
We had a beautiful rising full moon tonight. I went for a 3 mile walk with a friend and couldn't help to feel a bit nostalgic when I saw the moon.
Take care.
