My TEARS

I wrote about alot of things that made me wanna cry,
but I felt them so deep they wont fall from my eye.
I would have to hold you, while we fall from the sky
to explain how it feels to be in love that wont die.
The one I love just wont try.
I'm cold and I feel dry.
I live my life telling the truth cause I died telling a lie.
I'm too hurt to be shy and too numb to know why
all the lessons that I've learned have no place to apply.
I appreciate the pain, but Damn I wanna fly.
I've been down for so long and waiting to get high.
I did what I had to do just trying to get by,
that's why I write like I write cause it's too hard to
cry.

All these poems are a compilation of some of my best work ranging all the way back to highschool til now. I am 31 years old and graduated in 1996 from Ribault in Jacksonville, Fl. I've lived in Atlanta, GA and Virginia Beach, VA, but have traveled all cross the country as an OTR Truck Driver. I use to be a hairstylist before that and met alot of amazing women who inspired some of my greatest works. The oldest poem on here is, " What is Love." I wrote that my senior year in English class for a homework assignment along with 2 others... and the most resent one I've wrote is," Can you believe my eyes, for I can't as I look at you." I'm glad you enjoyed them. I am currently single after all these years and thats why some of my own poems hurt me to read, but I hope they can help someone else.

This is beautiful....I know how you feel though - unfortunately. It seems that the love we seek is so far away. I have made bad choices but still I hoped that I will find that special someone. Now...I am not so sure. Because of my heart break I had been celebate for 8 years, I met someone only to be disappointed again. I have decided to just leave it alone...I have come to the conclusion that no one is looking for true love. Just conditions that they can handle. I for one find this unacceptible. I want a man to be in love with me, not love me because I have a good body or a nice bank account or I give great sex,So that means that I will die without ever really having been loved - truly loved by a special someone.
