OMG, I farted in bed!!! Does he care?

My boyfriend and I don't live together (yet), but I spend every
single night of the week at his house. It's become a routine to
have dinner together and lay in bed watching T.V. until we fall
asleep. Lately I've been noticing I'm more gassy than usual. I
couldn't possibly let one out while we're both awake (even though
the loudness of the TV might fainten the noise) so I hold it in. Or
sometimes I'll slip out and go to the bathroom to break wind.
But when we finally DO both fall asleep, it just sort of comes out
on its own. Some nights its quieter than the others, but one time
it woke me up and I detected a smell even. I know my boyfriend
hears my toots, and sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
On the contrary, there has been several occasions when he does it
too! We have never brought it up to each other, EVER and I don't
really plan on it either. I just don't want him to think of me as
some gross disgusting pig who lets 'em rip every night.
But I was wondering, should I just acknowledge whats going on and
verbalize it w/ my bf, or keep mum??? If so, how do I go about
bringing it up the next day? Like, "Hey, uhh, did you hear me fart
last night?"

If this is bothering you this bad, then yes you need to ask him. It is a natural thing and i am sure he does it too. Just tell him that you cannot help it.

Women have a bigger problem with the issue than men.He might appreciate you going to the bathroom when awake in case there is a smell, but NO ONE can help it when they are sleeping.I wouldn't say anything, men are better at knowing that farting when sleeping is normal.

Do you remember that episode of Sex & the City where Carrie farts in front of Mr. Big, then acts like a huge idiot and gets all insecure and behaves as if she's 12? Yeah, don't be that girl. We all have to toot sometimes, and if you can't do it in front of your man, then you're not being real with him. I'm sure he could care less if you fart in front of him, and if it stinks up the entire room, then laugh about it and light a match. It's way better than letting all those toxins sit in your body.

Oh My God!!!!!!!! As I'm laughing my a** off, I'm thinking about how this is every woman's worst nightmare.
Try a cup of chamomile tea before bed, don't bring it up, and if he does...blame it on the dog.

HAHAHAHA! you cant hold your gases all night, they want to come out!! I'm a girl and as nasty it sounds i do fart and laugh about it i even blame the dog! if he says something i go "HEy i dont save money, why should i save a fart!" i think its natural, nasty but natural. that its fine if its in your house or your bf house in private, now dont go farting in public. Also, if you are going to move in at some point you cant be holding gases for the rest of your life, or wake up and take a walk to the bathroon to let it free! THEY DONT DO THAT, then why should us? i know its embarasing but just laugh about it and blame the dog!!

Well...farts are one of those things that tend to happen when you really don't want them to! lol I've been with my boyfriend for over 2 years and as we became closer we got more comfortable with sharing the more private things, such as farting! Maybe just start with acknowledging the fart by saying "Excuse me" or something and see how it goes. Farting is a part of life, and as you're around each other more you'll both get used to just holding your breath! lol

i THINK IT WILL COME UP ONE DAY,, HOPEFULLY HE DOES IN THE BED THEN U CAN BRING IT UP, BUT I AGREE IF IT BOTHERS U THAT MUCH THEN BRING IT UP,, I WOULD SAY LIKE WHEN IN BED WATCHING TV, OH MAN MY STOMACH HURTS,, THEN GO ON FROM THERE...HAHAHA
