Report AbuseSome of us would love to leave comments, but living in the styx with dialup kinda sucks. I do see your plight, though. I've got a feeling that most pieces on Shine are a bit out there, and not all are opinionated. So, I guess what I'm asking is, do you want more opinionated subjects (in other words, subjects that more people can share their opinions on) as compared to these diaries?

Report AbuseI enjoy reading your articles. I just discovered Shine here on Yahoo! I guess I am a bit behind on things. I am going to subscribe to your blog. Thank you for your articles and the time you put into them.

Report AbuseI have to say that I too agree. I can only take so much "Britney" or "scorpion pants" or " omg ashlee and pete are getting married!" before I feel like barfing. Keep up the awesomeness!

Report AbuseI'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to talk politics. I have to admit, that I do not keep up with current politics. I couldn't explain to you why I don't keep up with current events, except for a few reasons: I don't watch the news. My husband is a Marine and watching the news about soldiers and marines dying in Iraq makes me physically sick. Second, I live in Oklahoma where the votes don't really count because most of the people here are Republican. Third, news stations are very biased and it is hard if not impossible, to get the facts about what is really going on. Of course, politicians can meet with media and find out the best way to disclose information, not neccessarily the truth, but something close to the truth that the public will accept. So really I don't like to even try to keep up with politics lately. Hopefully that is a good discussion or response to your blog.

Report AbuseI totally agree. The media has slapped us in the face with elections, celebrity marriages and babies, and reality shows. I really appreciate what you're doing, and keep it up. I'm looking forward to your future articles!

Report AbuseWell to be honest I think people kind of come here to get away from everything so its like on here my biggest problem is that I can't find the right jeans or toothpaste while in the real world kids are dying and the government is screwed up. I would much rather have the first problem than the latter so I think that is the main reason people come on to this site.
