- In 2007, the Federal Government gave $176 million to
abstinence-only education, which, as
we discussed a few posts back, is just going swimmingly
(ahem).
- In fact, over 30 percent (30!) of girls in the U.S. become
pregnant by the age of 20.
- Two-thirds of all people infected with an STD are under 25
years old.
- Every year in the U.S. there are 19 million new cases of
STDs.
Today is indeed World AIDS Day, so it seems like the perfect time
to draw attention to a new initiative between MTV and Trojan
Condoms called "
Evolve One Evolve
All." The idea is to draw attention and awareness to
sexually transmitted diseases through an interactive website that
lets you be a sexual health philanthropist of sorts, in that every
click on the site goes toward Trojan giving away a million condoms.
For example, go check out the resources and kinda hilarious
educational videos from people like Stephen Colbert and Cobra
Starship, and every time you comment or rate one, Trojan will
donate a condom. If someone takes the pledge or participates in the
quiz, Trojan will donate 2 condoms. Each time you forward the site,
Trojan will donate 3 condoms, and you can even upload your own
video, which results in the donation of 5 condoms. You get the
idea...
That adds up to a lot of rubbers. And not only can the proper use
of a condom help prevent unwanted pregnancies, they can also save
lives. So go play around on their site. Just don't forget to
come back here and give your two cents. Oh and while you're
still here you tell us: What's your favorite type of condom
(ribbed, flavored, etc)?

ultra thin lubricated Trojan. those are the best. people: stay away from mr. happy hat condoms they break almost instantly and is uncomfortable on your man!

I'm married and we ALWAYS use condoms as a backup birth control to "The Pill." Plus, it makes cleanup that much easier.
Our favorite brand is Durex. We usually get either the Tropical pack or the variety pack, because I can't find the Pleasuremax anywhere in it's own box. That's really my favorite.
I wish the Tropical had more flavors. I like the strawberry & banana but the orange is yuck - save that one for the back door. lol

WOW!!! I can't get over how many people are so blinded to the real world today and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) Is that one time without protection WORTH YOUR LIFE???? My gosh, you can't just go to the Dr. and get a simple shot anymore. YOU CAN DIE!!! To all the boyfriend/girlfriends ect. been together for this many weeks, months or years that dont use condoms. Did you see there last HIV results?? Did they get another test 6 months later?? Were they practicing abstanence or using protection? Do you realize you are sleeping with every person they ever had sex with?? Not just the HIV,certain cancers are spread sexually too. People this is no JOKE!!Please, USE CONDOMS PROTECT YOURSELF !! Oh by the way Trojans baby!! They don't break, n they're all good. Variaty pack, n always have a magnum around ya never know or do you!! he! he!

Polyurethane.. allergic to latex! But I'm in a committed (STD-free!) relationship, so we rely on birth control.

wit me only having one partner and doin it whenever wherever, at my place, his place or a friends place i would say NO CONDOM ANYMORE!! because we are both STD FREE! SO TAKE THAT. but if we really wanna use condoms, just for the heck of it, we like to use the flavored ones ;) cherry strawberry and vanillia on top of CHOCOLATE if you know wat i mean ;)

I don't have a favorite, but I use the Magnum XL. I believe condom sizes are all hype and none of them really fit well. I think they should make them longer and wider than the XL.
