Hi ya'll! It's been a long hot week so far around here, and I have been putting in quite a few extra hours lately at work, so I haven't been on much. Plus, sharing web time with 5 other people cuts into my fun time too!! LOL! Has anyone heard anything out of Rusty Shoe?
Everything is good in my little corner of the world, and seems to be getting better all the time. My hubby (the saint) and I are planning a major vacation(cruise) later on in the year, but would like a little weekend romantic getaway, beings the kids are here to take care of our dogs, cats and fish! I have researched a few hotels in Oklahoma City, and Dallas. But I'd like to hear some ideas on what ya'll think would be fun for an old married couple to do on our excursion. Think romantic, and out of the ordinary! Aside from the obvious sexual overtones I mean. Also if anyone out there is from oklahoma or surrounding states, let me know if there is anything you think we'd find interesting....festivals, fairs, or really cool restaurants, bed and breakfasts, etc......
If you have a good getaway story please share!!!!
Where to wander?

Report AbuseHey cyndi, have not heard a word from Rusty Shoe and just a short note from Teacher Girl.I guess that leaves us to carry on until the rest of our "group" can return to us. And now Charlie 20 is gone for a month.
I am sorry, here in Florida,we are too far from you to be a help. One of my friends went to one of those couples spas which included massages, mud mask, intimate dinner, spa in their room. If you stop in at a travel agency, they have pamphlets that list "Intimate Getaways" in your area! Good for you,one of the benefits of a house full is your ability to leave them in charge and re-charge your love life. Funny you listed this,my husband and I keep talking about places to go--and then never go. Now he wants to go to Miami (to see something,I don't know what) and he was so happy when I said I would go! It's a long ride from here, but he seems so happy that I will go with him,it will be worth it. So,Sunday we are off for southern Florida and a fun day was promised. Actually I know that you know,a grand time is had just because you are with that special guy--be he 40 or 70+.We just take it slower and more relaxed. I want to hear your plans and ideas from your area of the country. You are a special person and deserve to have a good time. A cruise? Where are you going?? Sounds like a lot of fun. We have been trying to organize our selves for an Alaskan cruise.Cruise is fine but cost of airfare to Seattle is a problem. Oh well, let me know.
