Report AbuseGosh, I have no idea. I have a feeling in another 10 years this will be a non-issue. Some day everyone will be mixed. No more white and black. Will prejudice go away though?? Unfortunetly not.
If you're in love, then be in love!! Let the world know it too!!!

Report AbuseSome people are still ignorantly rascist and can't see past the fact that your skin color is different than his. I believe you should ignore the looks and be happy. If they decide to be annoyed by it, that's their problem.

Report AbuseColor, Sex, etc should not matter, what ever makes you the person happy and fulfilled is all that counts.
I get all sorts of comments cause I am bi-sexual, so sometimes with a woman, I don't let it bother me, I just feel sorry for how closed their minds and lives are!!

Report AbuseI live in a very diverse city...over 100 languages spoken here. Seeing a black/ white couple doesn't even get a second look.
Momma cat is spot on.

Report AbuseOh Girl!!! I have dated a few gentelmen out of our race and let me tell you I live in VA and people can't get with that at all. An I agree with you if looks could kill I'd be deader than deader. But it did stop me from kickin it with those men. I couldn't take the pressure. The stares the whispers. It was like I grew five heads and 10 arms. People kill me you can see a black man with a white woman and nothing but don't let us cross the fence

Report Abusehonestly, when i think about the stories my grandparents tell me about how an uncle was hung because a white woman who pursued him called rape, it really disgusts me that a brother would have a white woman on his arm and call him his wife and would endure all the hate when there are plenty of black women, single at that, who would love that man just as much without the outside hate. I love seeing strong black couples doing they thang keeping our families and heritage together. Its hard enough as it is. But if you are happy, then give those people the same dirty looks. and for the ones who think racism will just go away, what world are you living in? don't think that because there is a black man running for president that the average black man won't get pulled over and get profiled because of the color of his skin. And thank god mr. obama has a strong, intelligent black woman on his side to show not only interracial couples what they are missing but black folks as a whole. Plus, i prefer a tall chocolate, thick, mandigo warrior tearing it up in the sheets, whooooo!

Report AbuseRACE REALLY SHOULD NOT MATTER AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH THAT PERSON IT IS EASIER FOR THE BLACK RACE TO ACCEPT THAN THE WHITES. DONT OWRRY ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK OR SAY THEY ARE NOT THE ONES TAKING CARE OF YOU.

Report AbuseTo each their own. I have a story to tell. My mother who has always been a bit prejudiced really embarrassed me one day. I was dating this guy I was really hot for. He was very cute, tall and very sexy. I was very attracted to this guy. Anyway, I was living with my mom at the time, so one day this guy comes to pick me up. My mom told him to come in and have a seat. I was still getting ready. I was applying some lipstick, when I heard my mom say"I told Gloria, I don't care who she brings home, just as long as she doesn't bring home any ----- !" I couldn't believe it!! You see this guy was half black, half white, but he looked more white. I thought that this guy would leave right there and then, but he just laughed it off. I was so ashamed that my mom said something so offensive. She was too, after I explained later. I opologized to the guy, but he was so cool about it. I'm afraid people like my mom are everywhere...
