Why can't my good be good, instead of good and bad...
it's like loosing the best thing I never did have...
Sometimes I sit and I laugh, but it hurts me to my heart.
What took a lifetime to build took a second to fall apart.
As I struggle to grasp it with my hands,
it's like grabbing grains of sand...
I give it ev'rything I can, but all I get is dirty hands.
As disappointment fans the flames from mistakes I tried to bury.
I find myself bound and chained, yet I'm always in a hury...
and in the blindness of my fury I can't see beyond the past.
Living and reliving painful moments e'vry moment like the last.
I'm staring out into my past as reflections of things to come.
I'm blinded and guided by my pain because I tried to love someone...
I came prepared for the love, but not for the loss.
I've paid my dues and now bare my cross...
to be tormented forever by flashbacks and soft tears...
" If I wasn't destined for love, then why the hell am I here?"
Sometimes I wish I could disappear in the deep down darkness of my heart
where I've been drifting for so long I've decayed and fell apart...
into pieces covered with scars from bleeding behind bars
like the only time I get free is by staring out at the stars...
just close enough to touch, but I can't reach pass the glass...
it's like ev'rything I ever wanted I just wasn't meant to have...

If it weren't for our losses we may not ever know or have what we truly deserve. I'm glad I had to lose what was in my life because look at all that I have gained? When I'm near you- everything is ALL Good!

That is the most amazing line I think I have ever read. You have such a beautiful gift to express what is in your heart. For what ever reason that line hit me hard. I wish I just had 1/4 of your talent to express myself. I think that would be the best therapy to be able to express in yourself in prose. Excellent job....
