Would you cover for your man?

Are you a Ruth Madoff? A Bonnie Parker?

In case you haven't been awake in the last 12 months, we are living through the age of the hangover. When accounts come due. When we pay for the drunken financial ride of the last decade. Whether it's personal -- hey we can totally afford to buy a house without putting any money down! -- or on a larger scale -- hey we can totally pretend to be investing $25 billion dollars that we no longer have! -- the crimes that have until now gone unpunished are suddenly seeing their day in court.

Related: 5 things guys lie about.

And it seems like every day, there's another woman arguably covering for her husband. You remember Ruth Madoff, right? Wife of Bernie? Or, do you remember Lehman Brothers? Used to be one of the largest banks in the world? Remember Dick Fuld, the former CEO, who, you know, drove the company into bankruptcy while meanwhile collecting something on the order of five hundred bazillion dollars? Remember how he sold his Palm Beach house to his wife for $100, so that in the case he was indicted they wouldn't be able to seize it?

It brings up an age-old question: How sacrosanct is the matrimonial union?

What would it take for you to blow the whistle on your man?

What would you expect your man to cover you for? Are you the Ruth Madoff type? The Bonnie Parker type who might even get in on the act?

How far is too far?

Deep Question: Do you ever worry about your boyfriend or husband dying?

Okay you have to use your commen sence here! If it's that much money and super illegal, and especially if you have children. No when you birth, and shoose to be a mother, what comes w/ the package is prtecting your children no matter what! They come first, and then your mate! They will always be your children, they won't always be your mate! F-that, do not support something that could potentially harm yours, or your childrens lives!

I could not respect or be loyal to a man that was breaking the law. My mom told me when I a teen if I ever did drugs, she would call the police herself. If I saw my husband on tv because he commited a crime but they didn't know his id, I would call and turn him in. Scumbags deserve to go to jail even if you love that scumbag

    To Marla

You say you would cover for them regardless? So what if they committed a murder and took someone else's family member or loved one away? What if it is an innocent person? You have to first live for yourself, because sorry to be honest, but if your family and friends were in the same position and they were at risk of going to jail, and they had a life worth trying to save, 9 times out of 10, they will turn on you, and then apologize. And if a man really loves you, he will not even want you in that position, especially if you have children.

Depending on the situation. But, I would have to agree with Marla for now. My mind may change if something were to happen, but I do love my family, friends and my boyfriend. I would cover.
