I have never really liked having a round face and have often wished that it was more oval. But I know there is nothing I can do to change the shape of my face, so I have learned to make the best of it. I like to use makeup to help define certain features and minimize others. If you also have a round face, here are some makeup tips that you may find useful.
Eyebrows
When you have a round face, it is important to have defined eyebrows that are not over-plucked. Having defined eyebrows will help balance out the roundness of your cheeks. If your eyebrows are sparse or over-plucked, fill them in with a brow pencil or powder that matches the color of your eyebrows.
Blush
Because your cheeks are very round, you will have to be careful where you place your blush. If you apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks, they will only look more round. Instead, apply your blush just under your cheekbones to make them look slimmer and more defined.
Eyes
Make your eyes stand out with the right eye shadows and eyeliners. Making your eyes stand out will take the attention away from your full cheeks. For example, you can apply a beige eye shadow to your eyelids and sweep a darker brown eye shadow to your creases. Add a thin line of black eyeliner to your upper lash lines. Also, don't forget to apply some mascara to your eyelashes.
Lips
Do not neglect your lips. Defining them with some lip liner and lip gloss will make them look full, taking some of the attention away from your round cheeks. After you line your lips with a nude lip liner, fill your lips in with that same lip liner. Then apply a sheer nude lip gloss to your lips.
Following these tips can help downplay your round features and give your face a more mature, defined appearance.
