Do's and don'ts for fall fashion trends

Fall is right around the corner. In fact, it's less than a month away. That means it's time to start shopping for fall fashion and with so many new styles to choose from, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed. Personally, there are some styles I've spotted that I like, but these are styles that you need to wear carefully. The following are just three fall fashion trend do's and don'ts.

    Do Wear Skinny, Colored Jeans

Skinny jeans have been hot for a couple years now, but colored denim is making a big comeback. While red seems to be quite popular, other hot colors include purple and bright blues. There are even skinny jeans with patterns that are quite hot. If you've got the right shape for this fashion trend, go for it!

    Don't Overdo It

While colored denim is certainly a fall-must, it can be overdone. While it's fun to add one or two pairs of colored skinny jeans to your wardrobe, don't replace all your jeans with this style. Instead, save these pieces for a night out or a casual day shopping.

    Do Embrace Flowy Blouses

Blouses made of silky materials in various shapes and styles are big this fall, especially tiered blouses and peasant tops. These blouses can be dressed up with straight black skirts or dressed down with a pair of boot cut jeans.

    Don't Skimp on Prints

While you will see these tops in solids, you definitely want to embrace prints. There are so many great prints in style this fall so don't skimp on them!

    Do Choose Motorcycle-Style Boots

Motorcycle boots are hot, hot, hot this fall. Available in anklet, knee-high, and standard height, motorcycle boots are a must for any fall wardrobe.

    Don't Go Too Manly

While a few buckles here are there will certainly add to the motorcycle style, you don't want to choose boots that a member from the Hell's Angels would want to wear. Instead, look for motorcycle-style boots that are bad-ass, yet fashion forward.

Fall 2012 promises to be a great year for fashion. What are you waiting for? Get out there are start building an awesome fall wardrobe.
