Joshua Chambers is just about the bravest person we've ever known. The 4-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia in February, and has undergone chemotherapy and other exhausting cancer treatments. His motto throughout this ordeal has been "Be Brave," so it's fitting that he would have a special connection to Sara Bareilles' hit song, "Brave."
Joshua got the chance to show how brave he was in front of a crowd of hundreds when he went onstage during Bareilles' concert at the House of Blues in Orlando this past Sunday to sing her Grammy-nominated song with her.
The boy and his mother, Mina Chambers, met Bareilles at a meet & greet before her Sunday night performance. That's when the artist asked Joshua to come sing with her during the show.
Joshua's appearance was the highlight of her concert, especially when he asked to wear Bareilles' hat during their duet.
"That was cool!" the inspiring boy told Fox35. "I wanted to sing with her!"
"It was just incredible," his father Jeremy said of the performance. "He's just very outgoing and positive about what he's going through. We hope he can inspired other people as much as he's inspired us."
