Military Dog Protects Soldier – Even at the Airport
Being stuck in the airport while you're on your way overseas or coming back home is part of a soldier's life. If you have a trusty companion by your side, it makes travel just a little bit easier.
A Redditor snapped this heartwarming moment of a sleeping soldier getting some rest on the floor of an airport with his loyal German Shepherd standing guard.
German Shepherds are often used by the military for scout duty, warning soldiers of enemies, traps and other hazards. They can also be used to help rescue and protect soldiers in dangerous environments. An airport might not be as life-threatening a place as a battleground, but we're sure the soldier is similarly grateful for his dog's devotion.
