We love seeing the extraordinary ways servicemen and women surprise their families upon returning from active duty. Sailor Raymond McKnight decided to take his homecoming to Hollywood.
McKnight was set to return home for the holidays after a 9-month tour of duty with the US Navy. He teamed up with Tim Allen and the cast and crew of the ABC sitcom "Last Man Standing" to give his family a moment they'll never forget.
McKnight's wife and two sons were told they won a contest to join other military families as extras on the show. On tape day, the McKnight family was on the set, and was positioned next to a giant gift-wrapped box. Suddenly, Raymond pops out!
"Merry Christmas everybody, Daddy's home!" exclaimed the sailor, as his wife reacted in shock.
"On this show, we really honor vets, and you get very emotional," said Allen to ABC 7. "When you see the reality of being away from their families, service to the country, however you view it, this is a very special breed of men and women."
