Tom Brady and Ellen Celebrate Two Young Boys and Their Act of Kindness

When Tommy Cooney decided to stand up for his friend Danny Keefe, who was being bullied at school, he had no idea that less than a month later he would be sitting beside Ellen, listening to a personal message from Tom Brady, but it happened just like that.

In November, Tommy, 10 and the quarterback for his elementary school's football team, heard that their water boy Danny, 6, was being picked on for his speech impediment and for wearing ties and jackets to school. Tommy recruited his fellow teammates, and they all showed up to Danny's school dressed exactly like him to show the bullies it was time to leave Danny alone.

Inspired by the act of kindness, Ellen brought Danny and Tommy to her show on Thursday, and asked her pal Tom, the superstar quarterback for the New England Patriots, to surprise the boys with tickets to an upcoming game and Hall of Fame ceremony.

Tommy never believed his good deed could go so far.

"I thought it was just going to be a normal day with me wearing a suit for Danny," he said backstage after his appearance.

Danny echoed that sentiment, commenting that it was "really, really, really, really - (and a few more reallys) - AWESOME!"

Their expressions on the show say even more.
