5 Ways To Prepare Your Skin for Fall

We recently met Tiffani Thiessen at a screening of USA Network's new series White Collar—and we asked what she is going to change in her beauty routine this fall. "I always use a richer moisturizer, and now that I'm living in Manhattan for half the year, the wind and cooler air is a change from L.A.—so my skin really needs the extra moisture." She loves Cellcosmet Concentrated Night Cream Treatment. Our beauty editors have some strategies too:

"I usually wear really light, fresh scents when it's warm, but they all seem too summery when you're bundled up. So I'm going to start wearing Nanette by Nanette Lepore. It's a gorg blend of rose and amber, so it's a bit deeper than my typical scents—but it's soft enough that it still feels like me." —Alyssa Kolsky Hertzig, Beauty News Editor

Top 10 Sexiest Fragrances of All Time.

"My hands start to get really raw, so daily I use Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream, which is soothing but not greasy. When even the Aveeno doesn't solve the problem, I bring in the big gun: Cortaid Advanced Long-Lasting Anti-Itch Hand Cream. It has 1 percent hydrocortisone that almost instantly seal up cracks. But you should only use it for a couple days in a row, because regular use of hydrocortisone can thin the skin." —Amy Keller, Beauty Director

"I switch to a more quenching body moisturizer because my skin gets extra dry. I like to use St. Ives Intensive Healing Body Moisturizer because it prevents dry skin." —Jessica Prince, Editorial Assistant

"I'll be religiously using Dove Body Wash with Nutrium, from our breakthroughs story. It's proven to keep your skin well moisturized, not dry it out. I'm figuring if I start taking care of my skin early, this could be my first flake-free winter ever." —Kristin Perrotta, Editorial Projects Director

"I can get away without exfoliating much during the summer, but once the dry air hits I need to start using a body scrub regularly. This season I'll be incorporating the Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish into my routine. I love the fresh lemon scent, and it's so moisturizing."—Kayleigh Donahue, Editorial Assistant

I adore the brown sugar scrub but it is a bit expensive for my taste. A cheaper alternative would be Avon's Spa: Shea Butter and Brown Sugar Scrub:

It also works great and reminds me ALOT of this product.

Every winter I stock up on Avon's Intensive Moisture Therapy Body Lotion and Hand Cream. It boosts moisture by like 175% and you notice an instant difference. The best part about the hand cream is that it leaves your hands supersoft but not greasy at all.

If you want soft hands, use seventh generation dish washing soap while working in the kitchen. It gets my dishes nicely clean and goes a long way so its economical with a nice skin softening effect as it has no bad chemicals. Its so nice my husband will steal it for bubbles in his bath. Its also a really good degreaser for those mechanic hands. Its amazing how something that natural is so effective.

I'm an acne sufferer so it's important for me to find products that keep my acne prone skin in mind and not dry it out more for Winter! I read on BeautyBlitz.com about a new moisturizing mask that works well with women who suffer from acne or are prone to it. Check it out!

I am disappointed in the products that you are showing. Why would you show $265.00 lotion? I think Oil of Olay works amazing and its affordable. I personally choose not to spend a car payment on 0.5 onces of fake promises
