6 Favorite Lips Balms for Winter

We've compiled a list of our favorite remedies for keeping lips shiny and moisturized all season long.

"Mission Skincare Amanda Beard's Lip Balmer SPF 15 is my new favorite. It's from a company that works with different athletes—hence, the Amanda Beard connection. It's got lots of moisturizing oils and has a great texture—not too watery nor too waxy—that feels soothing. And the broad-spectrum protection is key because sun damage just dries out your lips more." —Amy Keller Laird, beauty director

"I love Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15. The stick is the perfect consistency—moisturizing, but not too oily—and the lemon scent is amazing." —Alyssa Kolsky Hertzig, beauty news editor

"I prefer squeeze-tube balms over hard, waxy ones, but many tube formulas are gloppy and sticky. Not Clark's Botanicals Ultra Rich Lip Balm—it's lighter and not at all syrupy. It's also got great moisturizers such as shea butter, jojoba, and sweet almond oil." —Victoria Kirby, beauty editor

Winter Skin Fixes: These products will revive your dry skin in no time.

"My all-time favorite is Jo Malone's Vitamn E Lip Conditioner SPF 15. It keeps my lips moist for hours, the black tube is beautiful to look at, and the honey flavor is subtle but totally addictive." —Kristin Perrotta, editorial projects director

"Burt's Bees Medicated Lip Balm is the only product I've found to help heal my lips once the weather turns dry." —Kayleigh Donahue, editorial assistant

"Chapstick True Shimmer in Botanical Berry works wonders for me. Not only is it full of moisturizing ingredients that soothe dryness and cracks, but the glitter makes my lips look extra shiny." —Jessica Prince, editorial assistant

Burt's Bees did a number on my lips. I dunno what it was but I had an allergic reaction to it so I avoid it now. Personally I just use Chapstick.

I personally prefer a lip protectant called softlips. It has 20SPF and it just makes your lips feel and look so smooth! i also like the beeswax lip balm. It's good stuff!!
