I'm with Mrs. Carol B... I like them in vinegar, but with some sugar and dill. Or dipping in ranch is always good!

I love cucumbers, they just back up on me...I know they have many good qualities, my favorite is the cellulite reducer. Rub a cucumber slice on you problem area and it is to reduce the look of cellulite by tightening the skin. I also boil some for that fresh smell in the house. I just only like to eat garden fresh cucumbers, as the ones in the store taste funny, and all that waxy crap on them...have to wonder if they are truly safe to eat??

I eat a cucumber almost every day...now I know why, at 56, my skin looks as good as it does. I'm still wondering...where's my wrinkles?

Hey Irish...I learned from a chef at a "Green Festival" that it is the seeds in cukes that cause the gas. BUT...he said that if you eat the skin, too, it counters the gaseous effects. To get the wax off, I use Fit produce rinse (works on apples, too), except you have to let it set for about five minutes before it loosens the wax. I've tried the competitive product, but it just doesn't remove the wax as well. And, yes, of course, fresh from the garden is best, or, from an organic market.
