Etsy: The Paris Blues Bracelet ($50, poetsummer)
Etsy is clearly one of our favorite sites here on Shine. It is a wonderful online marketplace to buy and sell beautiful handmade items, from jewelry to clothing to unique items for the home. And prices are very reasonable. This gorgeous bracelet is by seller poetsummer, who says she "...started this piece with three colors of blue lamp work foil glass hearts and a big sterling plated heart in the center. I added a little Eiffel Tower charm at the extension chain and 8 photo charms of Paris set on sterling plated frames and covered in a super glossy professional finish..."

We've got little time and less money to shop this holiday season.
So the more we can get done online and early, the better.
Especially when there are sales and free or low shipping to sweeten
the deals. We've rounded up some of our favorite online shopping
sites, and some deals you can find on them to get the gift-giving
season off to a calm, economy-minded start.

I'm a huge fan of shopping local and giving personalized gifts - so Swagger Gifts is my personal choice. For those of you not in the Raleigh/Cary, NC area... many of their most popular gifts are available on their website (http://www.SwaggerGifts.com). You can monogram and personalize just about anything and there are lots of great gifts that you can give for the entire family (think: holiday shopping on a budget).

Wow. If finding not-so-useful ugly stuff on popular shopping sites is what a Shine staffer does for articles, no wonder shine is so lame!

LOVE THE BRACELET. IT WOULD BE NICE IF PEOPLE WOULD BUY THINGS THIS YEAR THAT HELP CHARITIES. INSTEAD OF TEACHING YOUR KIDS TO WANT, WANT, WANT, WHY NOT TRY HAVING THEM TO HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE! I'M SURE GOD AND SANTA WOULD LOVE IT. IT MAY ALSO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO THINK ABOUT OTHERS, AND NOT JUST ABOUT WHAT THEY WANT. ALSO TRY TO THINK OF THINGS THAT WOULD HELP THE ENVIRONMENT. THE OLD SAYING" IT IS BETTER TO GIVE, THAN TO RECIEVE, IS OH SO TRUE. YOU COULD ALSO HAVE THEM HELP OUT AT HOMELESS SHELTERS. PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE, LOVE,CLOTHING AND FOOD, RIGHT HERE IN THE USA. ALSO OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN IRAQ NEED TOOTHPASTE, WATER, BRUSHES, SOCKS, AND SO FORTH AND SO ON. THINK ABOUT IT AND MAKE IT COME TRUE. WE HAVE GOT TO STOP SPENDING ON THINGS THAT ARE NOT IMPORTANT. DID YOU KNOW THAT WOULD HELP OUR ECONOMY SO MUCH. ALSO, BUY FROM STORES THAT NEED OUR BUSINESS TO STAY OPEN. WALMART PUTS SO MANY BUSINESS'S OUT OF BUSINESS, BECAUSE WE FORGET ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT NEED US TO SHOP AT THEIR STORES. DID YOU KNOW THAT KROGERS, FOODLIONS, PUBLIX, ETC. HAVE THEIR STORES STOCKED, WHERE AS WALMART IS OUT OF SO MUCH EVERYTIME I SHOP. THEREFORE WE ARE USING MORE GAS TO GO TO THE OTHER STORE TO GET WHAT WALMART IS OUT OF, OR DOESN'T SELL ANYMORE. IF YOU THINK I AM RIGHT ,PLEASE PASS IT ON TO OTHERS.

Don't forget cash back sites like www.extrabux.com, which offer coupons and rebates with hundreds of online retailers. You can find more sites and tips at www.comparerewards.com. Best of all, shopping online means never having to hunt for a parking space...

The website www.efactoryoutlets.com lists factory outlet centers and has links to company stores ecommerce sites. Right now it is featuring Clearance sales and has several listed like Calvin Klien and Banana Republic. With the economy the way it is there are some really good prices
