Bond No. 9 perfume samples, 6 for $15

Bond No. 9 is a fancy-hip New York perfumery that puts out fun fragrances named after NYC neighborhoods and landmarks. While its regular bottles and collections can be pricey, if you go with these cutely wrapped samples you choose whichever scents you want at a much, much cheaper price.

I'm a person who gives products as presents. I give them to my mom, my sister, my friends. I even give expensive baby products when people have babies, and I've been known to pick up a fancy shave cream or manly moisturizer for my husband if I see it. This is why: Really great beauty products are a tiny thing that can actually make your whole day. An extravagant soap, pricey lip gloss, or new favorite scent can bring heaps of joy without costing nearly as much as designer fashion. The products above are not reasonably priced. They're indulgences, the kinds of things you rarely purchase for yourself, but when you receive them, you feel somehow special. They're also the sorts of items any girly girl beauty junkie in your life will love.

Okay, this article was crap. For one, the ONE item I would consider purchasing had no info on how to buy. Second, the items are WAY too expensive. I don't know who is paying $20 for nail polish and $32 for mascara? Are you serious? Would have appreciated the article much more had they included cheaper items.

    Dear Annie,

I'm sorry you hated the article. I will be posting many more gifts guides over the next several weeks, most with more affordable items. As I stated in the text above, this one was all about indulgences, the kinds of luxuries you never buy for yourself, but it's nice to give someone else as a treat.

As for where you can find whichever item it is that you did like, each picture has a website printed underneath it, that website is where you can purchase the product.

I love your list Jennifer! I should e-mail it to my husband to give him some ideas... :)

And to the person who said $32 is too much to pay for a mascara... that's what I used to say before I actually paid that much for one. There is a world of difference and I'm never going back!

Well I'm glad you have found yourself happy with your $32 mascara, and yes, that is way too much to pay for something so simple. Time and time again the experts say there is no difference between most expensive make-up items and their cheaper counterparts except for feeling good when you pull out that fancy mascara in front of people and then get to tell them how much it costs.

The Bond No. 9 Fragrances are amazing! I wear the scent of peace layered with the scent of chinatown...it stays on all day and is not overwhelmingly strong.
