No, you're not on the ranch. Bob has a few words of wisdom about how much weight you should be losing at home.
Biggest Loser trainers reveal below two of their favorite moves for flattening your abs--no matter what your fitness level.
- Get off balance
Anytime you're on an unstable surface--and therefore trying to balance-- you're developing your core strength.
- Suck it in
Very motivated contestants wanted to work on their abs even when they weren't working out! One trick: Constantly pull your stomach in to work your transverse abdominis, the deepest layer of muscle in your core.

Report AbuseI lost about 35 pounds and have kept it off for a year now, and the reason I have been able to keep it off is because I made changes to my lifestyle that were not too difficult to maintain. First of all, it took me a whole year to lose the 35 pounds because I didn't do anything drastic. I stopped eating white flour and sugar, took up running (very gradually increasing my mileage) and I still eat whatever I want, I just control my portions. Take it nice and slow and it won't come right back on because you won't be bingeing or falling off the wagon, since there's not much of a wagon to fall off!

Report AbuseTo lose weight and keep it off, set realistic goals, like losing 10 percent of body weight within 6 months. The same goes with diet; aim for changing habits one step at a time, like substituting fresh fruit or vegetables, or a whole-grain products for the unhealthy counterpart. Eat fast food or other junk foods in moderation and drink lots of water instead of sodas.
I started exercising small steps at a time, like brisk walking as far as I could for a half hour, which was only a few blocks at first. Now I can walk 3 miles.
In eighteen months, I dropped 70 lbs and several dress sizes and have way more energy. There were people who barely recognized me, since they were used to seeing me a lot heavier. They asked me how did I do it. It was plain and simple -- burn more calories than I eat and the weight will come off.
