While making a New Year’s resolution is constructive and admirable, it’s not always fun… which is exactly why we’d rather make up resolutions for other people. Here are our wishes for the stars in 2009.

I really don't think it is her talking about them. When I got divorced "friends" would ask me about him. Then they would run back to him and say I wouldn't stop talking about him. I NEVER brought the situation/him up, but I did answer their questions. Now I know how things get twisted around so much. She should just refuse to answer any question about them.

Good article Joanna. I believe that the Obama "Stay Alive" statement is directed at the number of threats the president elect has received since he won the election, which is more than any other president has had according to the papers. I wouldn't read too deep into that. But that's me I'm not the paranoid spooky type.

I'm finally going to say what no one else will. Obama is NOT a celebrity and SHOULD NOT be. He is going to be the man responsible for running our country for the next four years. Respect is what should be shown to our president - not starry-eyed adoration.

Wasn't one Kennedy-era enough? JFK was gone before I was a year old, but I've spent my life listening to people "glorify" that man and it's obvious they all had blinders on and couldn't see what was really going on. Let's not make that mistake again.

Treat Obama with respect and the dignity that his position demands - then we'll have a powerful, honest president - not a papparazi seeking, media-hungry fool.

Here's my two cents, for what they're worth...

I don't read a lot about Brangelina and Jen, but I remember seeing a headline about Jen not wanting to talk about Brangelina anymore and being upset about people thinking she's not over them. So why are we still talking about this? I don't think it's fair to blame Jen for everyone else not being able to get over Brangelina.

Also, Kitten, I think that's easier said than done. as far as the tabloids are concerned. I don't think most celebrities WANT to be in the paparazzi's line of sight, but some stars are just magnets, like, say, Jennifer Aniston. Leave the poor woman alone, already!

I agree about having the political category.

To those of you who question the "stay alive" comment: we've all thought it. We're all worried for our new president's safey--there are plenty of whackjobs out there. So don't go saying things like "please elaborate" on a comment that you understand perfectly well... just saying.

And, you know, Joanna, Barack Obama isn't a "celebrity" in the way we use the word--he's going to be in charge of this country. I don't think he should be on a list w/ Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, and Madonna, truth be told. It puts him in the wrong light--he's going to be leader of this country, not a new tabloid fixture.

LOL -- this article is EXACTLY what I feel! Especially about Madonna! She DOES try too hard! And I hope Jen does get over the Brangelina thing. I'm so tired of hearing about it from every corner of the world.

I think Oprah should quit talking about her weight and embrace whatever shape she's in. And Amy Winehouse should be the one with the "Stay alive" resolution. Just say YES to rehab!

And kudos to those who noted Obama is not a celebrity. Let him be presidential.
