Music to get you moving!

My music is really inspiring me now. I told everyone this and you'll see me walking around with my adorable little orange Shuffle, which I am totally hooked on. Here is my recent playlist that gets me moving and helps me go the distance (like for more than an hour some days!)

Head here to download Lucy's playlist!

"Miss Independent" (Ne-Yo sings about a woman who has "her own thing!" It's kind of my theme song right now!)

"Love Lockdown" (Great beat from Kanye West, whom I adore.)

"Viva la Vida" (This is the super popular one from Coldplay.)

"She Got Her Own" (a remix of "Miss Independent" from Ne-Yo with Jamie Foxx)

"Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (empowering and sexy—thanks, Beyoncé)

"If I Were a Boy" (a slower tune from Beyoncé; she is such a sexy girl that it's hard to imagine, but she's a feminist, too)

"Untouched," The Veronicas

More than 1,000 Self.com users voted for their favorite music to move to. Meet your new playlist!

"So You Can Cry" (Ne-Yo is telling a woman to stop moaning over some guy.)

"Back to What You Know" (also Ne-Yo, telling her to come back to him)

"Live Your Life" (T.I. featuring Rihanna—a bit kooky but fun)

"Heartless" (also Kanye, very dark but smoldering)

"Come What May" (sappy from Ewan McGregor, but I loved Moulin Rouge)

"American Boy" (Estelle and Kanye duet—fun and sweet)

"Part of the List" (Ne-Yo sings about what he loves about his gal.)

"Forever" (heard Chris Brown do this in person and he's so athletic and amazing.)

"Closer" (Ne-Yo loves women, what can I say?)

"Nobody," Ne-Yo

Love them all. Try these and get running—you'll feel like you're dancing.

I am sorry that this writer has no idea what music that makes you move is. For starters how about the black eyed peas lets get it started, anything by technotronics, the mortal combat soundtrack, I like to move it, when i grow up by the p---- cat dolls. These are just a few feel good songs that will motivate you whether you want to get up and go or not. Any questions?

Unfortunately, people have no idea what good music is anymore. First of all, remember when people played instruments? Today's music has very little, if any real instruments. It's just a bunch of talentless hacks who dance around half naked on stage. They don't even write their own songs! How is this appealing to anyone? Music is about a few things. Rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, dynamic, and instruments. Yes, instruments make music. You know it's not real music when you go to a concert and there are no people on stage playing instruments. This country has lost track of real, good music and real, good talent. And what or who is Ne Yo? Those are not even words! Learn to read, write, and speak English and maybe then I'll have some respect for you.

Ne-Yo is to slow to really get you moving and keep you running on the treadmill. I suggest more up tempo dance music like Britney Spears new cd specifically Mannequin or Lady Gaga's new cd "The Fame." Both Cds are jam packed with great cardio music that will get your heart rate up and keep it there!!

You want some lifting music? Try Trapt, Chevelle, Three Days Grace. rap or dancing music ain't going to motivate you.
