Confessions of a Shopaholic: The stars, the red carpet, and the woman behind the styles

Patricia Field is the designer who put Sex and the City on the style map, made heavenly fashion come to life in The Devil Wears Prada, and makes geek "chic" on Ugly Betty.  This week, Pat puts her magic touch on the Confessions of a Shopaholic starring the hilarious and glamorous Isla Fisher.  The Thread went to visit Pat at her New York store to talk spring fashion and, even better, spring fashion bargains! The fashion legend even selected a little something for me to wear to the Shopaholic premiere which you too can click-and-buy below.

We all know that Pat's constantly mixing pieces by high-end designers with affordable brands, but we were surprised to see just how many budget-friendly items she carried. Here are the items featured in this episode of The Thread. You can just click-to-buy, or visit the Patricia Field website and shop for all kinds of trendy items.

Went to a small premier in Orange County and it was such a good movie. It was an amazing laugh, and even though it was chick flick they didn't overdue the romance, so you could deffinately get the man in your life to enjoy! It makes me want to read these books, the continued whit was fabulous and chic lol!

I can't wait for this one. I totally passed on the He's Just Not That Into You because it looked dumb. Too many actors I don't like.

I've read all of the Shopoholic books and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. However, I am confused at why an Australian actress is playing an English character but with an American accent. I like Isla Fisher a lot so hopefully the movie will still be good despite the fact that they seem to have Americanized the character.

I see every one comparing all these new movies, hurry come ups, want to `be` to Sex On The City. I find it apalling ,Sex on The City is in a class far above them..

The clothes in that movie are totally ghastly, like Carrie Fisher's worst nightmare. Also, what a vapid, ridiculous story.

Patricia Field is definitely and off-beat character/ designer and was the perfect costume designer! especially since she was the same designer for Sex and the City:) HOWEVER, those gloves are awful! lol
