From Grime to Glam!

Certain celebrities seem especially adept at convincingly playing it gritty and grimy on screen then looking positively polished on the red carpet. Check out our five favorite Hollywood chameleons and see if you agree. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is the master of the transformation. She's played a transgender teen in “Boys Don’t Cry”, a waitress-turned-boxer in “Million Dollar Baby” and now she's morphing into Amelia Erhart. when it comes to red carpets, this two-time Oscar winner sure knows how to transform herself into a fresh-faced beauty with a great sense of style and sophistication.

Mariah Carey is one of music’s biggest Divas, but she’s shocking everyone with her gritty, rugged look in the much-anticipated film “Precious” (out Nov. 6th). She returns to her glam self in her  “Obsessed” music video.

On screen Kristen Stewart plays a disheveled-looking girl who spends her time chasing a vampire. But when she's not in “Twilight” character, Kristen rocks an edgy style we love.

Between her two “Transformers” hits, Megan Fox spends her time on screen working up a good sweat.  But when she hits the red carpet—with those icy blue eyes and that flawless complexion— the gritty Megan is soon forgotten.

On "Lost" Evangeline Lilly spends her days running through the jungle. But when she's infront of the paparazzi she always picks the perfect look that makes her trademark freckles and green eyes, shine.

And finally, after dressing dowdy year after year, one of the biggest transformations has got to be America Ferrera in the new season of "Ugly Betty." We're happy to report that Betty's 86ed the poncho, and she’s developing her own more mature, refined style that's even got her co-stars crowing.

    I think I would look pretty damn good if I were air brushed for photo shoots and had make up artists, hair professionsals ,and personal trainers get me ready for red carpet time.Then there's that surgeon in South America who could give me 38 DD's and a tummy tuck and butt lift.

    Sure, I'd look just great, too.

    Mariah Carey has no concept of dressing age appropriately. she wears dresses so tight that she looks as though she's been shoehorned into them, She looks like a tiredold w---- and she's still young. I remember her when she was about 17. She was so fresh and pretty. There was nothing gutter-slut about her.In recent years she's definitely trashed-up her look. She looks like she should be walking Ponce de Leon Ave. in Atlanta.Why do so many of these otherwise-pretty these women start looking like prostitutes? She should fire her "stylist."-if it can be called that.

    Meriah Carey is the sexiest woman alive. I have never seen anyone that oozes sex like she does. And I am not gay. The chemistry between her and hubby Nick Cannon is love at its deepest. You can feel it. Yes she is best as Sex Goddess and Voice Matrix. When she plays a plain, down to earth, caring, social worker, in "Precious" she shines again! She drops the glam and gives a fantastic performance! Go Meriah!!!
